Where to meet potential dates in Sheffield:
Being a single student in Sheffield for the past two years I find the best way to meet new people and likely dates is out clubbing. Sheffield has a huge array of pubs and clubs, which are normally packed to the brim with locals and students. Every night of the week there is always somewhere to do in Sheffield, due to the demand of wild students.
The places to be seen:
Monday – Leadmill, Corporation, DQ
Tuesday – Babylon, Crystal, Paris
Wednesday – Embrace, Corporation, DQ
Thursday – Plug, Steel House
Friday – O2 Acadamy, Plug, Nocturnal, Leadmill
Saturday/ Sunday – Saturday and Sunday nights are not student nights meaning the entrance and drink prices will be more expensive, however all of the above clubs are open with a collection of single men and women.
Where to take your date!
Once you’ve bagged yourself a hot new date, the question is where to take them. You want to make a good impression and a bad date can lead to a definite rejection. A meal followed by the cinema is always a good option, however, let the restaurant and the film be a joint decision, as a vegetarian with a hatred for horror films would not appreciate going to a steak house followed by a gory new release. Centertainment is a popular venue to choose from as there are various restaurants and cinema in one complex. Another is Leopold Square followed by the Odeon cinema, as it is just a walk into town.
Meadowhall is another popular location for the first date. Not only does it give you time to get to know one another but also a good place to share a passion for shopping. Oasis is a huge food complex located inside Meadowhall, so you can even go out for something to eat after you’ve been worn out from a full day of shopping.
Bowling and ice skating are two other good places to take a date. It gives you the chance to connect whilst doing something active and having fun. Bowling which is located in the Centertainment complex and ice skating in Attercliffe.
If you are looking for a relaxing date, a walk maybe followed by a picnic, then I would definitely recommend checking out The Botanical Gardens, a romantic place with beautiful scenery.
